St. Paul Parish is committed to handing on the faith to its children and toward that end, we shall provide our students with a Catholic education which is dedicated to preparing them academically and spiritually for life's challenges.
There are tuition assistance programs to help those in need so that they may be able to provide their child with a faith-based Catholic education. St. Paul Catholic School participates in both the Indiana School Choice Scholarship Program (commonly referred to as a voucher) and the Indiana Tax Credit Scholarship program through the Institute for Quality Education (SGO). There are guidelines to apply for these programs. (Affording a Catholic Education Flowchart) They may be an excellent option for offsetting the cost of a high quality Catholic education for your family if you qualify. Families may also apply for assistance from St. Paul Catholic Parish. We invite you to speak with our school staff regarding eligibity for these tuition assistance options. St. Paul Parish Tuition Assistance
The Indiana Choice Scholarship Program, commonly referred to as the voucher program, was enacted in 2011 and is now one of the largest and fastest growing school voucher programs in the country. This program allows for part of a student’s public education funding to follow them to a participating school of their choice. Participating schools must allow the state to review classroom instruction, instructional materials/curriculum and administer state tests. Students qualify based on student eligibility criteria and household income. Dependent on the household size and annual household income when compared to federal free and reduced lunch guidelines (FRL) may receive 90, 70 or 50 percent of the state per-student spending amount for the sending school district. To be eligible for a Choice Scholarship (voucher), a student must:
St. Paul Catholic School participates in a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) which allows private donations that are offered as scholarships to help pay for a student's private education. When a person or corporation donates to an SGO, they receive a tax credit for 50% of the donated amount. To learn more about how to make a donation to our SGO, click here.
