In order to keep everyone safe and healthy as we to return to school, we have made the following updates:
Please note that the CDC and Indiana Department of Health have issued new guidelines for COVID isolation and quarantine. St. Paul Catholic School will be changing several of our guidelines to adhere to the CDC. Students are not required to wear a mask on a day to day basis. If a mask is required or used, it must be a disposable mask. No reusable masks are allowed. Please read through the following:
COVID Testing
Students that are sent home with a fever should be seen by a healthcare professional. Students that are considered a close contact and not vaccinated need to have a negative COVID test on day five or after in order to return to school on days 6-10. It is a parent's choice to test your student. Students not tested may return to school on day 11.
COVID tests can be made by appointment at CVS or WALGREENS. I suggest making the appointment several days in advance to insure a slot. You may also purchase a home COVID rapid test.
Isolation or Quarantine
Students who are in isolation or quarantine will be required to log in and complete virtual lessons with their teacher. Teachers will inform parents of math, reading, science, and social studies time and when a student needs to get on Google Meets. The teachers will have live lessons for those at home.
We want to return to school and keep everyone safe and healthy. If your child is not feeling well, please do not send them. YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE IF YOUR CHILD IS OUT, NOT YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER. If everyone does their part, we can keep our kids in school this spring semester.
Be brave for Christ,
Veronica Weimer
